LOTTE BIOLOGICS Initiates 'Open Innovation Internship’
Without Constraints on Career Path or Professional Background

LOTTE BIOLOGICS has formally announced the launch of an 'Open Innovation Internship' program to foster talent needed in the biotech industry.

The 'Open Innovation Internship' is a system where individuals from all walks of life may freely apply for any available position, irrespective of gender, nationality, age, education, or work experience. Prospective applicants can register their resumes through the talent database (DB) system, and internship opportunities arise, qualified candidates from the database will be considered for the subsequent stages of the selection process. This system operates on a rolling basis, and the internship period can be adjusted according to the company's needs.

The registration for the talent database will become available from the 3rd of this month, and specific timelines may vary depending on the field. The recruitment areas encompass a wide array professional fields, including planning, support, IT, engineering, quality management, production management, and global business development. Detailed information can be found via the official website (https://lottebiologics.career.greetinghr.com/).

A spokesperson from LOTTE BIOLOGICS stated, "The 'Open Innovation Internship' program aims to secure exceptional talent and nurture potential future employees." They further emphasized LOTTE’s commitment to introducing innovative recruitment systems and leading the way in addressing the shortage of talent in the biotech industry.

According to the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, the global biotech and health market is expected to experience rapid growth, reaching 260 trillion won by 2027, driven by the global aging population and increasing healthcare demand. In response to this growth, the government expects the industry to hire an additional 108,000 professionals in the field and, in response, hopes to nurture 110,000 key talents over the next five years, based on specific demand projections for human resources in the biotech industry and organic demand resulting from retirements in the preceding year.
